Title: Question for 2.6 auto owners who tow

Got a query from someone who tows a 1000 - 1100kg van in his 2.6 auto.

It frequently drops into 3rd between 45-55mph - does yours do this when towing, and does the gearbox software update help this issue?

I've never towed with an Omega before, so am unable to answer his query.

I think so, not enough torque in top at 45 so to be expected. Try cruising nearly 60 and all will be fine

Haven't towed since update BTW, but it goes into  top easier than it did before
