hi guys self levelling pump does not seem to work.
By pulling apart the connector block Seen that there are 4 wires to it . Red Brown Black White.
Question is can I just put 12 volts to it from a spare battery to test if it is working & the problem being elsewhere.
Have already done the test by way of disconnecting rear level switch linkage & moving arm to various positions. Nothing happening.
Fuse 27 is good with power at the fuse.
If this test with a battery is feasable :-\ :-\ Which 2 of the 4 wires are power to the compressor ?
TIA Al :y

Have you checked the relay, it's in the panel next to the fuse box, left hand side. Left hand one, main beam, S/L other one. Both the same so may be worth a swap over

Just swapped them Rob. Still no SL but no main beam with SL relay switched . Swapped back main beam OK again :-\ :-\ :-\
Is it the two small black relays at the top . . . one is main beam . . . so must be I suppose :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\

This is what I've found when took s/l compressor out and disassembled it

Tried getting compressor out today . 4 small bolts on rubber mounts is what holds it in I presume ?
These would not come out , turning ok but must be turning nut or clip what they are threaded into on other side.
will look at getting comp out next .
Need to determine if power is getting to compressor 4 way electrical connector somehow Any ideas? ;)

If power was getting to the compressor, and the compessor was seized, would fuse 27 blow ?
fuse 27 is ok.
Any help appriciated :y :y :y

IIRC there are 3 bolts holding it but maybe I'm wrong, front bumper down and a 10 mm wrench for holding the top part of the bolts still while you try to work on bolts below the pump. It just drops then
-
When I had to replace mine I got in with the wheel off and the liner removed .. didn't touch the bumper.... however it was impossible to remove the bolts holding the compressor to the bracket .. corroded to b*****y ... I ended up removing the bracket complete with pump on it !!
Then "removed" the bolts in a non-standard manner .. :)

Black - Positive supply to motor.
Brown - Negative supply to motor
Red - Positive supply to bleed off valve
White - Negative supply to bleed off valve.
