Title: new car search...
Post by: bertie1.8vectra on 19 May 2012, 01:13:58
Well i put new car search but we all know it will be 2nd hand (if i`m lucky) car search... Thing is i dont exactly know what i want this time around, i quite like my mates range rover the l322 model and i`ve always wanted a landy or range rover but will this be considered copying him?? I love the e39 5 series as well and the audi a4/a6... I do know though this time it will be a diesel(the devils fuel) and have the capability to pull a pikey mobile because for some reason my brother(whom i thought wasn`t speaking to me!! :o) has said i can borrow his caravan from time to time. This has pleased er-indoors no end as she has always fancied a caravan. Me i can take or leave them, so i have a tough choice ahead(yeah right) do i buy a chelsea tractor?? or go for the sensible option and buy the family runabout type of car..... :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ All suggestions will be listened to and then go straight out of the other ear hole ok???  ::) ::) ::)

Caravan? you need a Jeep, I just happen to have one that could be for sale, or swap for a top notch 3.2 Mig

The good thing about a 4x4 is that you don't have to worry about what weight you can tow(licence permitting),most of the bigger ones can tow 3.5 tons,of course the running costs are much higher as well ::)

No they don't. We all know they belong outside the school at 8:30am and 4pm or thereabouts.

I'd run a Supercharged Range Rover if I could, arm chairs for seats? Yes please! After driving one I can totally see why people buy them

Must admit it was too soft in corners even for me, but sure that could be fixed  :)

When I am back later this year I am thinking of an XJR (x300/x350) and converting to LPG, but pre-2003 to avoid the return fuel issues of course ::)

I'd follow that thread with interest, they are cheap as Omega's, be an interesting change. Offer far more horses too  :D

Get someone who knows there p38 rangies to look over it for you,if you find a bad one it could be a money pit,it will also struggle to do mid twenties fuel economy as well so prepare for that.good luck cause if its a nice one they are a lovely motor :y
