I am looking for a replacement engine for my Omega, cash waiting.
2.0 16v ecotec, must be in good working order and including clutch and flywheel, but don't need any other ancillaries. It's to go in a 2000/W facelift.
I'm in Grimsby so must be within a sensible distance, or very cheap to make travelling worthwhile! What have you got?

A quick search on ebay shows a few available :y... not sure if you'd want to go down that route though :)

Would rather buy from a real life person, ideally who used to drive the car before breaking it. I don't have much faith in the human race, especially when they are hiding behind a computer...
Also price wise, last week when I looked they were all £300+ which makes it a bit of a non starter on a £500 car.
Looks like it will be getting weighed in next week, unless anyone wants it for spares or repairs?

What's up with the engine that's in there? :)

The big ends started knocking (but car still ran fine, no loss of power etc, oil and water fine at this point) then within a mile it boiled over without the temperature gauge moving, lost power and died. After letting it cool I tried to start it and it chuffed a load of steam out the exhaust then locked up. The sump was full of water, if I fill the header tank water runs straight into the bores. It's pretty terminal! Oh and the clutch/flywheel has been on it's way for a year or so... Shame cos it's a tidy enough thing and I've just MOTd it

Thanks for the offer but I have given up on it now and we bought a Vectra to replace it with.
