or know of anyone who has a lathe capable of machining 1 inch stainless steel bar, been quoted silly money by local tool makers
-
What do you want done?
That's a small diameter so a small lathe like mine won't have a problem, anything longer than 150mm will start to be a problem.
I've used 1" SS bar for a number of spacers and knobs.

What do you need turning? I work in an engineering shop and have loads of stainless bar and a small amount of titanium, if its only small I could post it to you
