Title: Opel Corsa Tick Over!
Post by: Drewomega on 26 May 2012, 11:54:02
Hello from sunny Mallorca!

The Corsa City 1.2 I have here has a very fast tickover. Does anybody know how to adjust?
I have read the Haynes manual and cannot see anything relating to this.
Maybe someone on this great forum can help.

Cheers! off for a cold Estrella now! :y

This might be worth a look first.

Had similar on SWMBO's  2000 Corsa  1.2 i   16v   .   Was ticking over at 1150 rpm.   Found a very difficult to see small vacuum pipe at the lower back of the throttle body was off.

Pushed back on & has been fine since  almost a year now :y :y :y :y

I had a look at SWIMBO's Opel Corsa eh.. pubmobile and everything on the carb looked normal, no vacuum pipes off anywhere. I did however look at the distributor cap and found that it had moved round slightly on the base. Looks like a securing lug has broken off. Crappy looking cap anyway. Running ok now but need new cap. Thanks guys.  :y
