Omega A/C is never "ice-cold". Low on gas possibly

Thanks Rob did think the same as it was running nicely cold last year, so gas may be the solution

Does the a/c compressor 'clutch in' when a/c is on? :-\ :-\

I've never noticed much difference from it being on or off other than maybe the revs dropping ever so slightly as it first kicks in. I never put it on Eco and often have it on "Lo" but direct it at my feet on a low fan setting. Recharge at least every other year and it seems to work beautifully.

Last week I got out after a 100 mile trip with a boiling face and frostbitten feet. An oddly pleasurable sensation!  :o

yes it does, the air is coll and although told it will not be chilling it is hotter than you would want.

Could still be a lack of refrigerant  :y

Sorry, post above ^^^^^ comment

Strange you should say it fell to bits, when i stripped the water and a/c rads out of my 2.5, the a/c rad literally fell to bits. crumbled in my hands

I usually pay around £55 for a recharge

Thats quite common , all the bottom fins just fell out and part of the surround  ::) I removed it some time ago ... opening a window is all thats needed  ;)

Same thing has happened with my air con rad on both my miggies. The fins at the bottom have fallen out/distintegrated. >:(

I am just starting to price up a replacement condensor and the price of a gas removal and then re-gas.

Gets a lot of condensation on it and then rusts!
