last week decided to buy new wheels and tires.. tires are Goodyear Eagle F1 asymmetric 2 size 225/45 17.. wheels are 5x120 ..
high levels of grip grip both in dry and wet, and to my surprise they were comfy.. :)

This model wheel was in my mind for long time.. but it was existent only in Keskin as 5x110 which was a fortune..
Finally I found them as aftermarket but only in size 5x120.. so either I had to make wheel hubs or spacers.. I choose the second option.. they are made up of steel each 1.8 kgs

What colour is she, Cem?. Not ultra blue by any chance.

its dark blue probably what you call ultra blue but tone different Opti (although having the same code) and after numerous layers it became darker (Glassurite).. however paint became really old and roof laquer became sunburnt and I cover it with expensive polish..
After some painful events unfortunately, I had to delay the paint renewal :(

today changed the spacers to aluminium 7075 T6
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7075_aluminium_alloy (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/7075_aluminium_alloy)
its very light.. each 760 gr compared to 1.8 kg steels..
you can see the raw thickness here..

and besides yesterday, I tried to take one spacer from car for measures.. but the wheel nuts are torqued by a maniac ..
after the 4th nut I break the wrench and tear my hand >:( >:(
I called the tire shop that sell me the tires and I ask why you torque like that,
answer : opel cars torque themselves ... UTTER BOLLO*KS :o ;D crap..
no extra wrench around !!
-
Did you manually drill the holes or cnc?

Yes thats why i bend 2 iron bars getting my wheel nuts off ...must be the vx/opel automatic wheel tightener bolts ;D
Nice spacers , will be round to pick them up later :P :y

not cnc (cnc owners ask for more and too many) but not manual.. a vertical machine for drilling..

you can be sure for drill locations.. all are exact.. most time spend on it.. :y
