Title: What do you recommend for rear Springs?
Post by: Greg2041 on 29 May 2012, 18:48:56: More gloom and doom. My 1998 Omega 3 litre car has just failed its MOT with 2 rear broken springs. :(

So, I can replace them with original Vauxhall parts and use Tradeclub which brings them down to £450 - so I am told - or use an equivalent.

Don't get me wrong, I love sporty cars but I want to keep my Omega as original as possible and want to keep the same ride height etc.

So, if you were me which brand would you go for or should I stick with the Vauxhall ones?

I use either KYB (about £70 a pair) for non self levelling, or Boge (about £140) for self levelling. Replace in pairs. I'd probably not bother with 2nd hand springs either for std springs.

Post by: pscocoa on 30 May 2012, 20:47:29: 3 years ago I went to CAT systems in Tunbridge Wells -ZF Part number 25E490 for my 3.2 2001 - they were £58 each plus VAT and were self levelling.
