More gloom and doom. My 1998 Omega 3 litre car has just failed its MOT with 2 rear broken springs. :(
So, I can replace them with original Vauxhall parts and use Tradeclub which brings them down to £450 - so I am told - or use an equivalent.
Don't get me wrong, I love sporty cars but I want to keep my Omega as original as possible and want to keep the same ride height etc.
So, if you were me which brand would you go for or should I stick with the Vauxhall ones?
Many thanks you lovely people.... ;)

Does it have self levelling?
I use either KYB (about £70 a pair) for non self levelling, or Boge (about £140) for self levelling. Replace in pairs. I'd probably not bother with 2nd hand springs either for std springs.

It is all down to personal preferences mate. I have had Irmscher springs which I thought were too hard. For me Steinmetz springs win hands down everytime.

3 years ago I went to CAT systems in Tunbridge Wells -ZF Part number 25E490 for my 3.2 2001 - they were £58 each plus VAT and were self levelling.

Thanks guys. A source managed to locate me a brand new set with just a couple of months use. Nice and cheap and £50 for the pair including postage. The garage said they looked like new. I suppose they were! :y
