Well, not the MV6's fault. Friggin', crappy, useless, poorly made, shitty horrible facelift doors that are fitted >:(.
Of all the times it could have chosen, grrrrrr >:(
Gonna need some bits by the weekend. Thats going to be a tall order on a Wednesday night now.
Cock, and double cock.

Check strap after a particularly irate throw-open of the door? ;)

Nearly chrisgixer, the window mech. Cheap, nasty, horrible facelift plastic snapped where the wire meets the window

I've just replaced both the front regulators on the Beemer (common fault), the only saving grace was they cost £48 each for the replacement and took less than an hour to fit for both sides.

fronts are easy on Omega too :y. And Rover 25s ;D
Never done a rear, but suspect it cant be that hard *IF* a can stay in tat position long enough...

If you think they're bad, don't buy a Golf. Or any of it's clones. Window regulators fail regularly. The roadside 'fix' is to remove the doorcard, prop the glass in the up position, and jam it in place with several paper wedges.I've done dozens of these.
The replacement comes a sealed unit that is 'simply' bolted in place.

Only ever seen 2 non functional windows on Omegas. Both on the inferior facelift model.

Rear, not front ;)

Although, front or rear, as its from the alledged inferior model, you won't want it anyway. :)

I shall be having to accept whatever the local scrappy has in on Saturday, be that inferior facelift or far superior PFL

I have rear doors from a facelift here, but can't remember if they're electric windows or from a V6 Special. I'll check.
