Title: Couple of 3.2 questions - but VeccyC/Signum ...........
Post by: I_want_an_Omega on 10 June 2012, 17:10:10
Hi,

A pal of mine has a 3.2 V6 Signum - which I'm assuming has the same engine as the FL Omega?

He has had it just over a year and it needs servicing. On the anniversary of the last service a "spanner" light came up on the dash - is this a service reminder or is there a pedal trick that can be used to read fault codes.

If the service is done "DIY" - then how would he get the spanner light reset, is this only something that can only be done with a Tech2?

Next question relates to breathers. Did GM fix this problem on this model or do they still need cleaning etc as per the Omega guide?

Thanks - Rob

If the spanner is in the mileometer display it can be reset, press trip reset button and while holding button in switch on ignition and keep button pressed until  - - - appears in the display, switch off and back on and spanner should be gone.
If its an orange spanner lit thats an engine management fault which will need a code reader to diagnose

I always thought the engines in these were slightly different to the Omega? Isn't the Omega a Y32XE and the Vectra/Signum a Z32SE?

Thanks chaps - that's very useful.

Any ideas on the breathers?
