I'll bet they banned smoking in pubs with less evidence than that  ::)

Oil industry lobby has to much influence for anything to be done about it. We should all wear mask's like the Japanese do  ::)

When will we see an end to about everything we drink, eat, or do is bad for us, and then they change their mind?.... :D :D :D

Tis good for me though, my next appointment with my consultant is on 12th July, I will be able to say that my Lung cancer was due to diesel and start smoking again, regularly....... ::) ::)

I jest about a serious subject, but feel that as a victim of the Big C, I can, or I stop life, curl up in a ball and waste away.... :) :) :)

I have said for years diesel is really nasty, just try being a pedestrian occasionally where there is a lot of slow moving cars like in town. At least we may see a return to petrol engines being given some investment, not perfect but a heck of a lot better than diesel.

And don't forget it was mooted a while back about diesel killing the bee. Without the bee we all die.  :(

According to them, everything's bad for us :(
They'll start taxing diesel fuel more heavily on the back of that. Any excuse to make a pound from motorists >:( >:(

Why is this being publicised now? I have known diesel exhaust fumes to be a carcenogen for as long as I can remember. I can't help but be suspicious that it is going to be used as an excuse to increase tax.

Still, it'll give us the excuse to wear lower face masks as we wade through the plumes of such pollution now (apparently) to be experienced on every highway and byway across the land.

I’m sure that any rapid take-up of mask wearing will be much to the chagrin of Google (or should that be goGGle), Apple and those faceless beings within our establishment who seemingly need to know of our every movement by employing remote observation equipment in an attempt to do so.

I have said for years 1.diesel is really nasty, just 2.try being a pedestrian occasionally where there is a lot of slow moving cars like in town. At least we may see a return to petrol engines being given some investment, not perfect but a heck of a lot better than diesel.

And don't forget it was mooted a while back about 3. diesel killing the bee. Without the bee we all die.  :(

1-2..YES.. and DEFINITELY agreed.. when I'm stucked in traffic at rush hour , nearly all cars around me pumping diesel fumes and I cant BREATHE between them >:(  dont know it makes cancer or not, but given the chemical structure, it doesnt do something good for your health :(

and plus , the diesel spillage makes the roads slippery and if you dont believe me , occasionally check your cars hood and roof by hand after washing.. they are all covered with nasty diesel particles..  >:(
