I dont think you can repair a crack only a chip.
-
if its in the wiper sweep area it would fail an MOT I think, i'm not sure whether the resin treatment can repair cracks like they repair chips, would be an idea to enquire with autoglass or even RAC
i think it's something the cops would advise you get fixed immediately especially if its in the wiper area, but its hardly a driving ban offense :D

Check your insurance and if its covered (usually pay first £50-60 excess)give it a smack ::)

i didnt think so, i'll keep me eye on it for now. ive a funny feeling i did it when i changed the hbv, i dropped the wiper as i took it off.
was a bit stressed trying to work with me boy yapping away lol

The windscreen can form part of structure of the car so if it is cracked it's probably better to replace it. If it's not an insurance job,Before diving in and getting Autoglass etc to replace it ring round your local independant fitters you may find that you get a better deal. A couple of years ago I needed a Cav. screen replacing Autoglass quoted £180 :o a local chap did it for £70 :)

You need to keep an eye on it to see if it grows any. I had a small crack at the bottom of my Senator's screen for years, untill one very sunny afternoon when I'd reversed the car on the drive. I got back in the car later in the day, & because the hot sun had been on the screen all day, what had been about an inch had grown to almost the height of the screen. This was a bout a week before we were due to drive to french France.

Exactly as he said!
In your local area you will definitely be able to find an independent company who will better your quote from autoglass. It's just a case of looking around. ;) ;) ;)
