Its been setup incorrectly, ours functions when we have a blanket of snow or rain storms.

PM me details, who you spoke to, details of your subscription & I'll raise a case internally.

So what do you actually want to achieve here, with this thread? You know I work for Sky, I've offered to help, raise it internally (as I have done for previously for other OOF members) but looks like you cannot be bothered?  ???

That's not very good customer service. I want to speak to your supervisor. >:(

I'm sure if you phone Sky again and tell them their last attempt to fix it failed they will be straight back on the case. You can ask them who you spoke to then, as I'm sure they will be able to drag up the old ticket that was raised. You clearly have a problem with your dish installation.

Have you tried a 3 pin restart? Pull the mains plug wait a minute and then plug back in. Then switch box back on with handset.

It might otherwise be your LNB connection needs remaking.

I frequently have issues, but then it took 3 attempts to get it fitted as the trees can cause issues ::)

Mind you, I've since spoken to a proper engineer and he says it's no surprise and it needs repositioning on a sturdier bracket. This has been on the cards for 18 months so we might actually get around to it soon ::) Plus I'll be fitting a bigger dish too

had sky out to fix mine came when it was rain and the fault the same as yours, changed lnb, no change move dish no change, the took the dish off and put a new one on, no change. moved dish to another part on wall, no change, checked out +box nothing wrong with it, 6hr he was her for and only thing he could find is my alinment is in line with the mobile gsm tower and it must be that. so now have a big dish and it works fine.

I was told if the tree outside in front of the house got any bigger we would start losing signals so was advised to re-position it but we never , 7 yrs later the tree is a lot bigger but no loss of signal  :-\

Highly possible, different weather and atmosphere conditions can affect the propagation of different RF making it affect your dish during rain.  Kevin Wood will know more about this than I do but it certainly seems plausible.
