recently acquired a 2.6 auto 2003.
all good but have this problem......
Kev, who i bought it off explained a problem with the sunroof having a mind of its own so he removed the fuse.
I asked if he could put the fuse back in and see how it goes..
All was good for about a day,..but occasionally it started opening/closing randomly.
This morning the car had flat battery (just tried to start but not enough charge) and also the radio would turn itself on after i had turned it off and removed keys from ignition??
Is this a case of.. sunroof had throughout the night had flattened the battery, then the dying battery was causing the radio to randomly turn on???
I know its a head doer, but just after any ideas!!
cheers

Try removing unit for an hour (hard re-set) then re-fitting

Make sure you have the code first ;)

do i need to actually do something for hard reset or is it just a case of removing the head unit for an hour??

My 2003 Omega has a haunted sunroof too but I don't think the sunroof works with key out of ignition :-\
What is worth checking is that the centre of the ignition 'pops' out when you take the key out. With age it can stick in which means that the radio remains powered on (and possibly the sun roof too?)

.......
It doesn't normally, but it will power up via the total closure. :-\

Has your battery been on charge in between the RAC jump starting it and when you've just been back out to it? :-\

In which case it is not "dead again" .... it is "still dead" .. and sitting "dead" will quickly ruin the battery . get it on charge for at least 24 hours, preferably 48 with a "smart" charger if you have one :)
You may well then not have to buy a new one ... if you are lucky ...
