I have a Yr: 2000 3.0l Elite.
Were they ever fitted with a Buzzer or some other alarm to warn of leaving lights on or sidelights on.
I get a bell type noise if I leave the keys in ignition but thats about it.

Should have. Most 'lights on' alarms seem to be incorporated into the main headlamp switch, but some (eg mine) have a separate relay looking buzzer under/behind the glove box. :y

You are right Andy, except IF you leave the indicator stalk to one side, accidently leaving a side light on...no buzzer in that instance.

Depends on whether pre or post facelift. Pre facelift = no buzzer. Facelift = buzzer :y :y

Weird....I have the facelift...no buzzer when leaving side lights one.

Probably got a car where the previous owner was not a fan of ringing , dinging chiming or bonging cars and promptly ripped the relevant relay out. ( reminder to ones self, never by a modern jap car)

As said, it only works if indicator stalk hasn`t been parked
