Title: Failed M.O.T
Post by: fudgee on 23 June 2012, 14:02:37
Hi guys , for the first time since i've owned it my beloved Miggy failed it's ticket yesterday  :( :(
It only failed on one thing and had no advisory whatsoever so could be worse i suppose.

Anyways, what i need your advice on is the following.......
It failed because "BOTH NEARSIDE AND OFFSIDE FRONT SUSPENSION ARM RUBBER BUSH DETERIORATED RESULTING IN EXCESSIVE MOVEMENT"

What I need some educating on is can you buy the rubber bush seperately or do You have to replace the entire arm?
Either way can somebody recommend to me where to go to get them please

Thanks a million in advance for any replies
Chat to you soon hopefully  :y :y

Depending on which ones have failed it is possible to buy the bushes for the front wishbones separately...

Probably easier just to replace the whole arm though...

...note you can find these items cheaper if you look around.

Only trouble with that idea freecall666 is that you need a large peice of equipment to put them in with

Best off going for the new wishbone arms

No special tools needed, just hacksaw and a good chisel, and out in about 5-min, new one in with a few taps with hammer and a good flat bit of wood., chisel out the rubber, then hacksaw out the the metal ring left just one good cut then tap out with the chisel. :y
