hello there guys, im hoping someone can help me with the problem ive got, occasionaly when coming up to red lights or give ways when slowing down the car stalls and then when started again can feel like its running roughly, like its not firing on all 6 cylinders, then 10 mins later all can feel ok, it started doing this about a month ago has anybody had the same problem with the 3.0 litre im absolutely lost and dont know anybody with a diagnostic computer, and i dare not go any distance in it, thanks in advance for any help.

its a mini facelift and i dont know wheather i trust it to go any distance :( the eml ight isnt on, ive put the paperclip in but i dont really understand what im looking at with the flashing light ive looked at the vid and still dont understand i cant see the sequence in the lights im sure there is one but i cant make sense of it.

First port of call for stalling problems is to clean the IACV with carb cleaner. Red arrow in this pic

ill give it a clean but would that give intermitent running problems or would it be all the time? thanks for all the info guys everything is apprieciated

mate, mine was doing pretty much the same. If there are no codes coming up and it cant be pin-pointed I would do the normal clean the breathers / everything else and new plugs leads and coil pack. almost guarentee this will fix it. i would also do the heater valve at the same time since they are cheap enough and youve got to take it all apart anyway, its not worth your sanity not to do it all!....

i would say that it probably is plugs and leads after taking the plugs out today they were full of an oily sludge and the plugs were rusty on the right hand side so im assuming the rocker gaskets gone one of the plugs even snapped off as i was undoing it so it looks like ive got a hefty bill for taking the head off to remove the plug :( but thanks for all the replies
