Title: Help..... complete F##king boredom
Post by: horsecow on 24 June 2012, 19:44:18
Had car accident on 11-5-12 and was off for a week cos I couldn't move my left hand. Got that sorted and been back to work but have had headache ever since. Started taking migraines 2 weeks ago, went to the doc who sent me for a brain scan and told me not to work again until I seen him again. Got brain scan last friday but don't get the results until thursday. Haven't been working for last 2 weeks, wont be back this week, not allowed to drive cos of the meds I'm on and I'm going nuts sitting round the house. Holy shit I dont know how people can do this all the time. My xbox is almost burnt out and I think I've watched every single film on lovefilm/netflix at this stage. How the f##k am I gonna survive another week???   :'(

Been there once or twice over that last 10 years, Consultant feels I should have give up work, but he is not going to pay the mortgage.... ::) ::) ::) and I am quite capable of doing my Job well, most of the time, stuck at home full time would drive me round the bend....

I know how you feel, was off for 7 months at one point :( but a Brucie says try and find other things to do :( :(, that's what got me through, although I could not do the work myself I could arrange things so was able to feel useful.. :y :y

Good luck with the tests and try and keep your chin up... :y :y

Enforced time off is tough... I had to do 11 months last year and still have to be careful now.

I enjoy reading so did lots of that. Little bits around the house and car when I could. And too much time on here :-X ::)

Not allowed to do anything strenuous at all so no gardening or decorating etc. Was gonna go fishing, there's a lake beside me but it hasn't stopped raining since I've been off so thats ruled out also. Cant wait to thursday at least I'll know something. Waiting on some parts to come in for the omega so I'll kill a day with that if they ever come!!!!

I'm just not used to doing nothing all day, been working for the last 13 yrs and its hard to pass the time when I'm practically bed bound. Roll on thursday

Well more of coffee while working and I do get 2 hours a day for the gym but I often work one of those back.  We have the luxury of aircon and sunday mornings off though.  The joys of driving a desk!  ;D

Btw, I am now a different type of massive.  Dropped 2.5 stone and now managing 165k deadlifts and 75kg clean and press (over the head)
