Re the nhs? Major govt at fault. According to a labour mp.
Anyway. Good news on fuel duty. No matter what the Daily Mail readers think.

NHS debt problem - Blair govt. and their PFI initiative. Its a financial timebomb which is going to explode in the future.
A small comfort I suppose to see fuel hike scrapped (postponed more like).

i dont know BUT when the idiots where let he said and i quote 'the nhs will be ring fenced'......people have very short memories when it comes too goverments...i remeber how shocking this crowd was before...could you afford a 15 % mortagae as that is what they did last time
-
But it is only delayed until January..then you bet they will do it twice next year... but why the cost of a barrel of oil has gone down so why are these thieving idiots robbing us once again...surely they are going to run out of things to tax next....the saying is dont hold your breath...but i think if they could tax fresh air then we will all be holding our breath....these are useless....and are in charge..i would not give this lot the job of feeding my tropical fish... >:( >:(

I have a solution. Only adults who have paid National Insurance in the UK since working age can use the facility for free, everyone else has to pay or take out an insurance. Anyone under the working age who's parents have paid National Insurance since working age also get to use the facilities free of charge. If you are new to the UK then you have to build up credits say for 10 years then you can use the National Health until that time they will have to put their hands in their own pockets oh and one more thing OAPs go to the front of the Qs ::)
I'll probaly get hammered for this but what the hell, its my opinion :)

The NHS budget has been ring fenced.Imo it shouldnt have been, but it has.Im not a big fan of the current Tory party, but every time Labour get in they destroy the economy. Historically the Tories get back in and have to make thetough decisions to sort out the mess. Doesnt seem to be working this time because the mess is so much bigger than it ever has been previously and this administration doesnt seem to know its arse from its elbow. The only good thing I could say about them is that they cant possibly be as bad as the previous lot. They were by far the worst govt.this country has ever seen in modern times. It will take generations to fix what can be fixed from the mess they left.Much of it is irrepairable and cannot ever be fixed.
Private finance initiative in its original form was first introduced by the Major govt.and was probably a good idea. Nu Liebore turned it into something else entirely, something utterly cynical(like everything else they did) which could be spun to look like a new shiny bright way of doing things, but which was always going to virtually bankrupt the NHS in the years ahead. It was tantamount to taking out a long term mortage with a payday loan company. The amounts of money involved are truely staggering.
The big con was that it is public borrowing which was able to be disguised as private money. How very New Labour.

You only need to take a look around Europe to see what other countries do. Do you get free healthcare if you leave Britain and go elsewhere? Only if you are either working OR retired, in which case the UK pays about 3,500 a year to the receiveing country to be rid of your moribund body. Britain could do well to do the same. I think Camerons suggested welfare cuts to the under 25's are a good idea too. Put a bit of family back into the community. Why should tax payers fund a flat for folk who could live at home like the Spaniards do.?.

Nu Liebore turned it into something else entirely, something utterly cynical Agreed. But isn't this like everything else that has been fine tuned to death. Who would ever have imagined successive governments taxing fuel to death but they have. Incidentally this tax hike on fuel is only postponed till January.
