Title: Removing my EGR.....
Post by: HockeyDave55 on 27 June 2012, 23:28:37
Hi chaps!

I have made a blank plate for the EGR port but dose anybody know of an EGR cheater board that will work on the 3.0xe?

I know of a board made for the 2.2 in the VX220 among others but they don't work on my engine, I just get an EML light come on.....

I am sure I found one but I can't now????  ::)

The Z22SE one should work but, the wiring is slightly different!

I'm guessing the relay can be a low current one???

Is this working?
I am currently getting rid of my EGR valve (it's moved aside currently, piping removed, holes on intake and exhaust blocked off).

Hi Guys,

 I'm thinking that I may use a cheater to make sure I don't have any problems with the EGR as I am current;y having ongoing issues with vacuum and lumpy running as well as gearchange issues! Would I be able to buy one from anywhere as electrical circuits aren't my thing. Cheers

It really is simple, take a look at the z22se forum and jump in with both feet! It does work... Well, I have no fault light on so it's all good! :y
