So there is a God. :y
For the first time in four years my/our insurance premium has gone down. :y
MV6.....fully comp......full NCB...... Self plus wifey to drive.
2009......£166. Esure
2010......£185. Esure
2011......£256. Esure.....Up almost 35% >:(
2012......£196. AXA. :-* :-* :-*
Still far too expensive. But better than last year :y :y
Purchased through compare the market/meercat.com.......so we've ended up with a free Alexander. ;D ;D ;D

Is that per month :P

Is that per month :P
.....per decade. ;D ;D ;)

My insurace this year has gone down aswell, it only cost me £5,998.71 for fully comp trade insurance ;D
I would love anything to be near £200, even monthly payments ;D ;D
-
whats the 71p cover. :D
Trade cover also has reduced recently. MMA (aviva?) seem to do a good deal, but are very particular. May cover top notch motors as long as they are not yours.

My mates trade cover has increased & not by a small amount he was telling. Rang around quite a few to find the cheapest.

I have noticed a few threads on here (including mine) about insurance going down and this seems to be the trend.
Is there something going on. :-\ :-\ :-\
Like everyone else I was expecting yet another increase due to all the usual reasons they give. Yet in general they are going down
Call me cynical but there has got to be reason for this, I hope it's good, but when we find out I can say "I told you" :D :D :D ;D

That's pretty much what I paid last year and the year before, this year however it's shot up to over £2,000. :o

Unfortunately I can only use one insurer (MMA who are part owned by Swinton) and this year came in at about £2500 with 3 drivers, Employer's & Public Liability :o
Just about to look at adding another driver (possibly young :-\) so that'll probably be another £500 minimum ::)
-
yes - there's something up. There's an impendidng government investigation into the motor insurance industry, kicked off by the price rises of late.
probably won't go far enough - the whole system is utterly broken.

Having had a car written off earlier this year, its been an interesting insight into how the whole system is geared towards selling details, and other backhanders, with all the different companies in on it. Corruption is the word I'd use, and its not just rife, its the norm.
Personally, I just what my back, shoulders and arm fixed. The companies involved are simply interested in how much they can screw from the other party. Its wrong.

And therein lies the problem... We now live in a Yanky styled, Litigious society where most people are only interested in what they can get >:( Hence the huge uprising in ambulance chasing companies ::)
