Title: Sky anytime plus question
Post by: cam2502 on 05 July 2012, 19:37:07
Anyone got anytime plus?
I connected the router to the back of my 1tb box this aft with an Ethernet cable. Been told it could take up to 3 days for anytime plus to appear though. Is this right? And when I get anytime plus, does the red button change to a plus sign or stay as it is with anytime next to it?

Hi, mine recognised mine in a couple of hours, as far as i could see was that the anytime plus menu on the planner was no longer transparent. No different indicators on the box. Although i only have the poor mans box!

Red button?  ???

It appears in the EPG, only takes an hour to so to build content lists. Are you sure it's connected correctly & has access to the Internet?

Be warned, you need an unlimited data package as a movie is around 4gb...

Tunnie; I rang sky earlier and it was them that said it could take up to 3 days.
The red button I refer to is the one when I press the tv guide button and at the bottom of the page it says anytime next to the red button. The Internet connection works, I'm using the iPad to type this. Should I ring them back? I assume they can check everything from their end? Thanks.

Red Button is anytime, not anytime+

Anytime+ is accessed though the top menu Tv guide > planner > anytime plus > Box office

Ok, following your instructions, it just says anytime on mine. The exact message below reads :

A showcase of the best tv from sky each month, ready to watch when you are. Enjoy something new today.

I would have thought you could access it through the red button though, as STMO seems to be able to?  :-\

Anywhoo, it's been around 4 hours since I rang sky, it's obviously not there, so do I wait the 3 days or do you reckon I should've had it by now and something's wrong?

Sorted!!!!  Rang sky again, got a very nice chap that got it working within 2 mins!! All he asked me to do was take out the viewing card and read him the number, unplug the Ethernet cable from back of the box, then reconnect and hey presto!
I asked why the guy yesterday said everything was fine but it takes up to 3 days, he said he didn't know why I had been told that :-\
Anyway that's it sorted so I'm a happy camper now :)
