Interviewer: "What do you think your parents were feeling during the match?"
Murray: "I don't know. I don't care. It was a lot harder for me, that's for sure."
Git.
But at least he's a British git.

I think you lot are jealous of his ability to play with his balls better than you can with yours ;D ;D
Let us applaud and support the number 4 tennis player in the world, the first male British player in 74 years to reach the Wimbledon finals :y :y
What the freak does your impression of someones personality (who you have never met) count for anything ??? ???
Andy Murray is an excellent sportsman, if you don't enjoy the entertainment he provides tennis fans then shut the **** up and don't watch on Sunday >:(
I for one will support a great British talent who along with all our sports men and women get my support for the pleasure of them wining in whatever their chosen field is, get a reward, acknowledgement the years of training and sacrifice they suffer to WIN and to entertain us. :y :y
Their personality is none of my business nor any of yours, if that is all you can judge them on. >:(
I personally will applaud enjoy their success :y :y

Well said that man. I am hoping he will win. Good for Britain, good for the sport. Hopefully Hamilton will win the British GP as well to make it a double. (What idiot scheduled the two events for the same date?)

Go on there C - get stuck into the miserable bastids. :-* :-* ;D ;D

Murrey doesn't give a toss about the United Kingdom.
He hates everything it stands for :(
He is a Scott and fair play to him for standing up for his beliefs but all this about him (potentially) winning the mens finals for Great Britain in boll*cks, If he wins it will be for himself and Scotland ;)
Oh yeh, I hope he wipes the court with federer because he is one hell of a good player. Imho, the best all round player from these islands for decades :y
Please just don't call him british ;)
-
And if you miss this final due to the British GP or the bad weather....

Serena Williams, what a star that girl is, such a joy to watch her winning and then jumping about.
She brings so much fun to stuffy old Wimbledon.
-
A Brit has won for the first time in 76 years in the men's doubles.

What i hadn't realised was that Murrey was present when the Dunblane School masacre occurred in 1996 so that may explain why he always looks traumatised and apparently his mum had been giving the killer lifts to school !
Might actualy warm to him if i read a bit more !

I do quite like a good game of tennis, as it looks like this is going to be. However I do hope Federer wins. He's doing it for Scotland and Scotland only, not the UK, not anyone other than himself and Scotland. I have no problem with Scots what so ever, however the way he is, I can't stick him.

Hopefully Andy Murray will be able to afford a decent hairdresser tomorrow

Sadly even if he wins, it would not be enough for a personality transplant!

Load of " BALLS " if you aske me..what with duece and luv...must be a French game ;D
-
Murray=Choker,
Yet again ;D :D :D
-
Be careful robin hood will get out of his pram again!
-
From what I saw, Federer had that it in the bag very early on. Still the best player in the world, and not one jot of suprise over the result.
Murry may as well have had a Mr Blobby suit on. Nobody was winning that except Federer. Why the suprise...? :-\
-
Yeah, Federer's a legend - Murray isn't quite up to his standard - but then nobody is. He gave it his best shot, and fair play to him I reckon, he's the best British player for a few generations. Who cares about the British/Scottish thing anyway?
He's never going to win Personality of the Year but he's a tennis player, not a daytime TV presenter, I'd rather see someone with a bit of fire in their belly than the ponce Henman any day :P
-
It is a tennis match Jc, as you say, not a popularity contest. I like McEnroe meself. Loud mouth yank that he was. ;D
-
Just seen the interviews at the end. What a heart less bunch you are, mostly. ::) ;D
-

You don't like him? You can't be serious? :-\

Probably no one will agree with this but here's what i thought,... I'm sure Federer gave Andy the 1st set to make it look better on Andy and to make it interesting as im sure Federer knew about the long gap in years since a BRITISH / Scottish player has been in the finals and if Federer wipe washed him there probably would have been a riot or similar he still wanted to win mind so kept it close at times then just left him for dust near the end.. Thats just my opinion ;) ... Good game though at times :y
-
Its certainly possible.
I did notice that Federer was making some really silly mistakes in that first set.
Not what you would expect from a 6 time champion!
-
I thought the game was good entertainment. I agree with some of the comments regarding Federer 'letting' Andy Murray win the first set, although you have to bear in mind that he has beaten the swiss king before in a major tourney. Maybe, just maybe, he had 'the stuff' to take it to the wire but after the rain break, with the roof closed, Feds came on strong.
It's well known that his indoor game (as that is what it became) is sooooo much better.
The interview at the end will have changed a lot of peoples opinion of the 'dour Scot' He came across as a man humbled by the support, the mainly English support!
As for being anti English, I don't think he actually is, didn't this all stem from an interview with Henman and some radio DJ banter about the english football team a couple of years back when he said something along the lines of he would support any team that is playing against England or something like that.
At 25 he has done well to get into the final of that grand slam, I would like to see him capitalise on that 'success' and go on and win a few more to get his rating and confidence up and then next year, go for it.
I don't personally know the guy, but I do object to the haters that think they do, I mean c'mon, hating a TV persona is pretty petty isn't it?
-
All jokes aside i think the pressure he was under being British was extremely huge and must of been hard to focus as well as he normally does. this isn't just some championship but the biggest there is. Its a great achievement that can't be knocked as he's proved he's up there with the greatest payers and only time will tell if he can become a wimblwdon champ. lets hope he can. :y
-
Unfortunately like the majority of British sports men and women, we seem to lack that killer instinct, total desire to win and ability to play under pressure. :(
-
This was one of if not his best chances, Nadal was out, he did not have to face either Federer or Djokovic to reach the final.
