Post by: dejbear on 07 July 2012, 11:16:44
 >:( I'm after a late 2.5td saloon pref cdx or elite def not gls though.
My dti inj pump is playing up plus a couple of other faults.

Once you've had a td the dti is such a let down!

Some early Facelifts had the 2.5 BM lump before they went DTi, tend to agree with you on the 'once youve had one bit' if its a bit more power with economy your after have you considered a V6 with LPG, just a thought.

Was never a great fan of v6 had a 2.5v6 elite and 24mpg was all it did on average then engine developed leak at back, fine if you were gentle otherwise you arrived with steam pouring from bonnet! Worst thought i had a fag burn in front seat but soon realised it was heated seat! Ouch bother etc was said!
I was glad when the exhaust broke and wrote the car off!

TD it is then, go for a Manual, then you can chip it, for a bit more poke and economy.   ;)

If you put an AR35 in, then you can chip that as well
