Post by: ob one on 08 July 2012, 10:59:34
Hi,  newbie here.

Just had mot done on my 2.2 on sat, failed on emissions as they are two high.  Can any one point me in the right direct re O2 sensors and whether they are 2 or 4 wires  The car is a 2002 2.2 saloon.  Also failed on the following

Excess play o/s  rear suspension arm bush/pin
rear break binding
nearside front to back break pipe excessively corroded.

Cars only done 90k and to good to scrap.  Any pointers on cost for all this. :-[

just woundering what best to do with it. :y

If you look under the bonnet  ...follow the exhaust manifold down you will see the sensor very easily...the same applies to the one under the car where the cat is..can be seen very easily...mine are 4 wires on my 2.2,, :y

thanks for the reply,

got quoted £90 for the sensor.  So bricking my self for the rest of the parts, let alone labour.   Are these big or just simple enough jobs.  the chap nxt door said the suspension arm bush is a big job.   needless to say I'm no mechanic.

cheers
