Title: Engine stops when car gets too hot!

I wonder if anyone knows the solution to the above problem.
When the car gets to operating temperature the engine cuts out and has to be restarted constantly
My garage tells me there r sensors on thew crankshaft which need to be replaced which would be expensive
The car is perfectly fine in all other respects and just went though its MOT

I wonder if anyone knows about this problem and can advise and who might have the necessary 2nd hand replacement sensors?
