My ex father in law had those. He loved them ::) Took me out in one once. I felt very unsafe & nothing to do with his driving.

Ahhh wonderful and glorious vehicles those placcy pigs.... I spent many a happy and wonderful holiday down in Dorset with 1 of those cars... Me +mum n dad and big brother and me grandad and a dog crammed into a reliant regal with the suitcases tied to the roof.... My god if we did that now you'd end up on road wars or traffic cops... Your car impounded the dog taken away by the RSPCA and you with social services with ya grandad forced into a care home.... Mmm yes happy care free days indeed... ;) :D ;D ;D ;D

I had one for a short while as I could drive it on my bike licence before I passed my car test. Yes, you could hit an indicated 100mph down a long fairly steep hill. ::) ::) ::)
Driving is strong gusting gale force side winds was very interesting steering lock to steering lock experience. :o :o :o

A mate of mine had one of those about 20 years ago.
Stuck a old Ford crossflow engine out of a escort I think, under the bonnet.
Great fun at the traffic lights but scared the sh*t out of people when it came to stopping or corners :D :D
