Love watching these old videos. Seen one of my home town a while ago, was taken sometime in the early 80s, doesn't seem that long ago but so much has changed it was unreal. The biggest change being the pedestrianisation of the town centre. In the film the car drove straight through the centre, loads of people going about, almost every shop open.... Like a bloody ghost town now. >:(

Well done EM, that was very enjoyable (and civilised) :y 8) - mind you there was as much muppetry displayed by many of those drivers then as we see being displayed now. :(

Fascinating ... Calne, Chippenham look nothing like that now .. but Marlborough High Street hasn't changed a great deal !!
