As per: http://www.wellandsteamrally.co.uk/
Though unfortunate, it's an entirely responsible decision.

At least its only postponed and not cancelled like a lot of other shows. Still can't make it as we're at Pewsey Carnival that weekend .. :(
Hope your attendance numbers aren't affected too much :y :y :y

Darn! Thought postponement might move it to a time I can make.. But it's my birthday and, more importantly, wedding anniversary that weekend. ::)
Still, so much stuff has been simply cancelled this summer, that it's good to see someone putting in the effort to reschedule. :y

yep, one of the many, not a good year for steam. i should be at cromford steam rally 1st weekend in august, just waiting on the site survey to see if its going ahead or not. :(

Alton's bus rally / running day was a casualty last weekend too. :(
Had a nice route round all the pubs planned too. :-X

Well simply relocate to Seth's 24/7 A&E 'Hospitality' suite, man!
Complimentary birthday card thrown-in to the deal too (https://dl.dropbox.com/u/43954633/rofl.gif)

Our land at Welland actually drains very well, but the incessant rainfall simply isn't allowing this to happen.
Then there's several hundred acres of hay to harvest (and flog!), which'll need around a week to dry-out, plus around three (really full) days work with some pretty impressive machinery to cut/bale/move off the site.
Having spoken with our Chairman, I totally agree that the decision to postpone the event has been a correct and responsible one. :y
These little chaps, (our two youngest grandsons), are really disappointed at not being able to spend ten days in the Worcestershire countryside 'helping' Gramps.
They've been 'bouncing off the walls' here, and 'counting-down the days' for the past few weeks:

As you can see, I've already got 'em roped-in!
'Play Time' at Welland for 'em a few years ago:

Two little fellas having the time of their lives!
And not forgetting this young man:

Liam (dad1uk's grandson) our Honorary Junior Steward!
