The Tube is running quite slowly here for some reason but I'm getting the gist of the piece - that's right up Uncle Denny's boulevard. 8) :-*

Reason being Spotflux - no longer though, as I've just kicked it the opps off this system. :y

That is very long video but beautiful. Well done promoting Turkey.
Don't join the EU or you will kiss goodbye to those traditional ways and crafts.
The locals here used to hand press their own olive oil before the co perative opened. Then they used to transport 2000 Kg or more each season by mule to be processed. If the olives were dirty the co op could and did turn them away!
Here is a 3 minute one for my area http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dSwJ4D23AEQ Sorry about the music.

I rarely like promotion/Touristic videos.. but this one especially filmed people in their original behaviour and environment..

Fethiye and Ölüdeniz is a place you must visit at least once.. long years ago (30-35 years ago) when I visited Ölüdeniz there was a dirt road that makes the journey a real torture.. and tourism was in its most primitive state..
now this may take your interest, Brits are mostly interested in that region and continously visited this area.. and it wont be wrong to say that the tourism and the area wealth and organizations are developed under this influence.. so its your money , come and see it :) many Brits in that area bought homes, lands and they increase in population so that some small village managers are even Brits :y

must say British tours are so cheap for that area we pay even double rates for rooms compared to Brits..
sometimes I think to go UK and fly from there ;D

I enjoyed that Cem.Reminded me of the time visiting Turkish gypsies (very different from our pikeys) and the Tea they served us,whch (iirc) was like hot fruit juice. Also reminded of the visit to the Turkish carpet factory, where the craftsmanship was superb. :y

Our coach was held up for over an hour when we were leaving, due to one of the passengers deciding to spend £18,000 on a carpet. The paperwork took quite some time apparently. That was a lot of money 15 years ago. :o

That was excellent,I might give Fethiye a try,I've been to Turkey twice, both times to Marmaris, but it's time for a change, not a change in country as I think Turkey is a beautiful country, but I've had enough of Marmaris..... :y

ps: arrange the hotel in ölüdeniz .. it will be more practical if you like to swim in lagoon.. and go directly to edge.. its the best place and waters shallow..
