Thing is... she's American and lives in the US, so why was she offered a place carrying the torch? ??? I thought that it was supposed to be local people carrying it through their towns in recognition of things they'd done for charity or for the community.... ::)
The people who carried it here were from miles away!! >:(

.....// I thought that it was supposed to be local people carrying it through their towns in recognition of things they'd done for charity or for the community.... ::)//.....
Aah no, Tigg – people who have contributed to the community in this way occupy much too modest a position on the scale of those perceived to be numbered among the ‘great and good’ of this land for such an accolade to bestowed upon them: A land where the notion of celebrity and looking after one’s own, for reward or otherwise, is considered to of such paramount importance that it has now, in effect, become the norm.

Will.i.am carried it through Taunton....... ::) There's a Royal Marines barracks there and you can't tell me that one of those lads didn't deserve the 'honour' or the lollypop lady who's stood at her post through wind, rain and shine for 30 years, or..... Ah what's the.... :(
As to the American's tattoo, that's just funny!!! ;D

Ask her to put her finger in her ear and say "RED" backwards :D ;D ;D ;D

The tattooist obviously skipped school to practice his trade when he should have been learning and spelling the names of the US States and their capitals. ::) ::) ::)
The capital of Washington State is Olympia. :o :o :o ;D

A good friend of mine got himself tattoed as wanted to see his actual love's name on his own skin. " I love you Esther " it was the masterpiece but the love went to the end soon. Nowadays I saw the guy and his tatto, which was remade like this : "I love you Esztergom" - Esztergom is a small town in Hungary...think again before tattoing ! ;D
