Off to pick up the new car tomorrow that currently doesn't have any tax on it. So obviously I've got to tax it before I come home. Now to tax it, I'll need the V5 with my new owner details written in, the tax reminder, the MOT certificate and my insurance certificate for it.
That's all isn't it?
Thanks

The owner sends off the V5 with your details on it & you get the little green slip & with this, insurance cert & MOT cert you can tax the car.

And I can tax the car with the little green slip can't I? Think I know which one you mean.

Yup :y its like a mini temporary v5. Be aware though, its the sellers responsibility to send off the v5 :y

i think provided the tax on it now is not disabled tax then ok...otherwise if it is disabled tax i believe you have to go to a local taxation office to change over log book and tax.... :-\

Cheers guys. There's no tax on it at all at the moment - it ran out a couple of weeks ago but before that it was just normal tax on it. Not disabled or anything.

Ajso make sure your Insurance Cert has your new reg on it or you may have issues.

Taxed and picked it up today without any problems... Apart from the 3 and 3/4 hour drive home turning into a 5 1/2 hour one!

Did you go the wrong way down the motorway ;D Or did you enjoy driving it that much?

Getting on for 350 ft/lbs of torque is quite fun but sadly no, terrible traffic on the M6. A milk truck caught fire at 4am this morning and they were still sorting it out when I was going past at half 2. Miles of tailbacks and slow traffic.

The edit turned into a double post. ???
