Hi Guys, have a vauxhall astra 04 reg last of the older shapes. Power steering has stopped to working. Have changed the pump but to no avail. Its been at the garage since last week and they cant find out whats wrong with it. It works for about half a mile from cold then just stops working. Have had ecu checked and supposedly all the electrics, though still not able to find fault. Can anyone help please

Might be worth having a look on here http://www.astraownersclub.com/vb/
Is there anything else not working ? I wonder if it is a speed sensitivity issue, I know a lot of passenger side front hubs get changed when speedo/ABS play up.

do they have a large in line fuse to the pump?
hairline crack in the fuse?
