Title: That bloody woman
Post by: Elite Pete on 14 April 2008, 12:46:53
Yesterday wifey said "im off to Ikea with Charlie (Daughter)to do some shopping have you got any money" I said "there's some in my wallet but whats wrong with your debit card" she replies "I can't remember my number but can I take yours to get some cash out as I can remember your number" so she took my card. I have to post a parcel today so picks my wallet up and walks to the Post Office when I get there I check my wallet, the £40 has gone and she still has my card >:(

Rant over

She does it with the online banking as well. I can tell when she's tried to go onto the account as its blocked because she's cocked up the 3 attempts at getting the password right  ::)

In the last 10 years and a few SWMBO's not one has had my PIN number...

Though the amount of cars, phones, PC's, shoes, dresses etc I've paid for kind of make up for it

Mine knows mine and I know hers - on both the joint account and her own account

Oh, well, she actually took me to the shop on Saturday - to see the furniture she's already ordered with my credit card. :y

She keeps looking at holiday brochures, but an LPG kit is going to be the next exercise my credit card gets.

Luckily Mrs. KW appears to have lost our marriage certificate, and, in any case, I don't remember seeing that bit of small print in the church. :-/

We have slightly different spending habits and, I suspect, if we had a joint account, things would go wrong. As it stands I make sure there's heat, light and a roof over our heads and mrs. KW does all the impulse purchasing.   ;)

Me and Mrs JW use to have a joint account.....she was murder  >:(

She is the fastest money reducing agent known to man, for her to spend is to live  >:(

Coupled with the fact that she is off work and bored, she then goes online and starts 'browsing', because i am away all week she hides it when it arrives......

We now have our own accounts.....mines in credit, hers isn't  ::) so when she comes to me for money i know that she has overspent......again

the only other card she has is a business debit card....and she knows it would be more than her lives worth to try spending business money

Mrs TB and I have a joint one purely for the mortgage and bills etc, that we both pay into, and never spend from ecept hols and house stuff.  Idea was that it would also build up credit to pay for new bedroom furniture. Trouble is, mortgage as shot up, along if energy bills - inc the £100 per month leccy bill - so it currently is just breaking even. No still no bedroom furniture :(

We have out seperate accounts for everything else....

I can indeed guess. ;)

My house had a wireless TCP/IP connection in 1987 and I could send e-mails to Australia, remote log in to mate's PCs, etc. Data rates have got a bit quicker but the novelty has also worn off a bit. :-/

Trying to think what I have managed - well I managed to survive the 5 years between Beta rental end and DVD without resorting to Vhs.

Managed to tune a bike, and a car

Managed to convert a stereo VCR to NICAM - also manged to fry it :( and my wedding video needs that VCR :(

The way we work is, my wife has her account which her wages are paid into and she pays for the food shopping and what's left is hers to spend as she likes, then we have the joint account (where my money goes) which she normally doesn't need access to (thats why she forgets her pin No)because her money is normally enough but it winds me up when she takes the last of my pocket money, then takes my card with her leaving me know way of getting any money :-[

Its a bad thing, the whole site where I work is being shut and we are all redundent....unless we wish to apply for a position in Coventry (there are only half as many positions).

I am just trying to make sure that what ever happens I get some positive from it  :y

Its a bad thing, the whole site where I work is being shut and we are all redundent....unless we wish to apply for a position in Coventry (there are only half as many positions).

I am just trying to make sure that what ever happens I get some positive from it  :y

Oh shit that is nasty, where have you been outsourced to?

Fiber optic telecoms transmission systems, SDH, PDH and eternet based....upto 40G line rates with DWDM.....

Selling loads of it at the moment to.

At the end of the day, buisness is buisness and hiring and firing in the Uk is easier than almost every other EU country
