Title: 2.2 DTI Glowplug question
Post by: kully on 27 July 2012, 11:42:37
Hello,

Does anyone have a wiring diagram / know what the wires going into the glowplug relay are?

I see two heavy duty wires for the glow plug circuit and then four other wires, I was expecting two.

All of this is to wire up a manual override - the cranking and cloud of smoke when it fires is getting beyond comical :-)

Try parking it down hill and don't let the fuel drop below 1/4 of a tank. If that help you have an air leak in the fuel supply

It's definitely not the fuel system, all pipework is good, filter is less than a year old and there is a hand pump fitted after the filter with a one way valve which I've used to prime for a couple of weeks without any change.

As an example, it was 9C this morning and the glow plugs came on for a second, gave it three cycles and it started a treat, coming home, it was warmer and it took a good 5 seconds of cranking with no glow plugs.
