Whats the limit of an estate? Around 1,750kgs I think, if you want to haul a plastic box?
Cheers :y

It depends on engine but that's about the right figure.
I believe it's not on the VIN plate, but the maximum train weight is. That would be the definitive figure. Subtract from the train weight the laden weight of the car and you have the max. towing weight.

so thats around 1,750.00 KGS = 23.63 GBP ;D ;D
-
Off the top of me head, think 1850, but not sure if ex Plod can drag more due to higher kerb weight :-\
It's raining so will go out to check once stopped ::)

Y32SE MV6 / ELITE Auto Estate 1875 braked, 750 unbraked.

The omegas Ive towed have all had brakes,so that was ok then. :y ::) ;D ;D

Not sure on maximum weight but i towed 24ft caravan (1750kgs) with my 2.6 Auto estate last year from Wales to Cornwall and it was no problem at all, in fact it towed better than with the 19ft i had before

I towed my V6 Elite saloon back almost 300 miles on a 4 wheel braked trailer using my old 2.5 V6 auto estate. Bit of snaking early on but it wasn't until afterwards that I started having thoughts that I was overweight. I was given no guidance/advice by the rental place - so just be careful :-\

1700Kg of Omega. A twin axle trailer is often 500Kg. ;D Still preferable to using an A frame, IMHO. Just shows what a good tow car the Omega is.

How about a small 2 berth caravan .......... needs sprucing up a bit! ::) ::) ::)
