Title: Rain,rain,rain
Post by: Bionic on 01 August 2012, 05:50:25
If this rain don't stop soon the frikkin country will turn into a swimming pool with hose pipe bans  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Why can't the country export the stuff to those who constantly ask for water?

No sun here, but dry and warm enough to have the roof down - that'll do for me! :y

Dry so far this morning in Buckinghamshire but rain forecast after lunch - I booked this week off work after seeing last week's glorious weather hoping to enjoy some jetskiing but should have known it wasn't going to last......

One of the properties we manage has a house exchange couple in it who are due to return home tomorrow.
In the 15 days since they arrived it has absolutley lashed down with rain constantly except for one day and we all got severely sunburned on that one .....
I spoke with them last night and they would have gone home to Barcelona last week if their flights could have been changed at a reasonable cost. They say they would never consider returning to Ireland .
It was so cold here last evening that I put a log fire on , I'm sick of it. >:(

That's what I said the first time I went there in the Westfield, it was so wet. ::)

But.. I tried again, and that time it was dry(er) but the state of the roads caused all sorts of bits to fall off my car. ;)

Dry so far here in Berkshire, but the last couple of nights have been very cold 8/9decC. There has been a chill in the air which is normally associated with the weather in September onwards.

Still not long now to long very cold nights and short cold days, with us all looking forward to the hot sunny summer cold overcast washout of 2013. Why do we all have such optimism over having a good summer as the last good one was 2006, so the odds are against it.  ::) :o :o :o

Yep seconded. Yesterday was enough to try anyone. You just cannot drink fast enough to keep up with liquid loss.

we have dropped to those temperatures from 37-38 late at night.. and I observed that once 36 is exceeded you are in trouble..

and my secret, thick wool blankets keep your body temperature same during sleep regardless of outside temperature.. because heart rate drops and so is the blood circulation.. problem is the waiting period before you get to sleep.. and I can pass this period turning on my side..
