Title: Sci-Fi turned into reality (NASA)

So NASA successfully landed a 1ton vehicle on Mars  :o

That alone is an achievement, but watch this little video on how it lands.

The very last bit, its like something from Sci-Fi film, incredible work!  :y

Truely amazing. :y The fact that the "car" is has been named Rover is a bit of a worry though. :D ;D

I think after a landing like that, the head gasket is the least of their worries!  ;D

So much could have gone wrong there, that's also what's so impressive, it all worked as it should!

It's a long way to go to change the head gasket, admittedly. ;)

There was a thing on the TV a couple of weeks back - not sure which channel though.  :y
