South Yorkshire Police
We've received reports in recent weeks of items being thrown from footbridges onto the Sheffield Parkway. The latest incident involved bricks thrown from a bridge near to the junction with Prince of Wales Road, causing hundreds of pounds of damage to a car.
This is mindless criminal damage, which could cause serious injury to passing motorists. If you know of anyone committing these acts, contact 101, or if a crime is in progress, dial 999.
The incident near the junction of Prince of Wales Road happened around 7.40pm on Wednesday 1 August. If you have any information about this incident, call South Yorkshire Police on 101 quoting incident number 992 of 1 August, or contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Copied from the SYP FB site (If I was wrong to do this then please delete this thread)
I was a victim of this many years ago arround 2am one morning, I was lucky one of three lads only spat a plum over the bridge but the stone in it cracked my winscreen (would have died had they have lobbed the usual brick) IIRC. Anyways they nearly crapped themselves when they heard me coming up behind them (In a rather load 5.7 Pontiac) Rest of story is not for the forum ::) :-X

My old Mig had (has?) a dink in the roof where a full drinks bottle was thrown at it from an overbridge.
Having said that, I've also had eggs, traffic cones, shopping baskets and glass bottles thrown at me at work. Oh, and memorably, half a brick.
