Title: Upgrading ccrt600 to ccrt700 on mv6
Post by: woolley11 on 07 August 2012, 21:09:27
Has anyone done an upgrade from a ccrt600 to ccrt700?

I would like to if poss as have bought a ccrt700 head unit. I appreciate I have no roof aerial but can get something suitable. I notice the plug at the rear of the casing is different. Is there any adapters?

Thanks in advance  :y

Yeah, I did it a while ago.

You need, aside from wiring mods, the CCRT700, a mic, a CCRT Display and a CCRT version of CDC2. Oh, and a 900Mhz SIM if you want to use the phone (ie, O2 or Voda).

No prebuilt adpater. Make you own with a couple of Trafficmaster looms, making the required mods on that (rather than butcher car loom).

Should add, I took it out about 3 months later, and replaced it with a NCDR1500/CDC3/GID/Telematics.
