Now i know its not an omega but it does share the same engine!
I,ve got a Vectra 2.5 V6 with a misfire problem and after trying almost everything i thought i'd give you guys a try!
After getting upto temperature its got a misfire from 2300rpm! (its perfect when cold)
You can't get it to clear by giving it more throttle.
Its fine at idle and right upto 2300rpm then it kicks in (almost feels like a rev limiter)
Its also fine when you rev it up standing still so its only happening under load.
Here's what i've done and still no change.
New coil pack, new plugs, new HT leads, new CTS, new TPS.
The timings also spot on!
I,ve had the car on <admin edit> and its showing no fault codes however i did do the paper clip test with the ignition on but not running and it came back with code 0335:
P0335 Crankshaft Sensor Incorrect Signal C-06
P0335 Crankshaft Sensor Open Circuit C-06
P0335 Crankshaft Sensor Incorrect Signal C-06
But i,m not sure if it showed this because the engine wasn't running?
Any help would be great.
Thanks Steve

Crank Sensor would be my next choice.
-
Arh vectra memories , nice looking car that :y Had A 2.5 veccy myself , hope you get it sorted ..
-
0335 is a definate fault that needs investigating... ...so change the crank sensor.
-
Never been a Vectra fan,but thats lovely. :y
-
Thanks guys
I,ve got a genuine GM crank sensor on the way, I just hope it fixes it!
-
Nice looking car,may be worth running live data and checking what the MAF is up too if the crank sensor doesn't improve it
-
Misread post sorry.
-
i doubt its the crank sensor, you will get the crank code if the engine is not running, does it cut out while driving and then doesnt start for a while if so then yes its the crank sensor,
-
Nope doesn't cut out when driving....
Very very occasionally it doesn't start with the first key turn.....just spins over then eventually splutters into life.
-
Just a quick update it was the crank sensor, changed it this morning and all is back to normal again.
Thanks for your input guys! :)
