Title: Omega not starting

Greetings, I'm looking for advice.  Two weeks ago I purchased a 1999 (V reg) Vauxhall Omega 2.5V6 Elite a fantastic car and has been very well maintained, but with a small problem: on two occassion when I'm leaving for work the car would not start, she would crank but not fire. As I'm a night worker, obviously had to leave the car at home, but when I returned home the following morning the vehicle started first time. 
As far as I'm concerned the car does not have a transponder imobilisier, as that was the first thing I looked for!
On a couple of other occassions that this has happened, I have armed and disarmed the alarm with the key remote and the car has started
Has anybody got suggestions please
