We're back from a very sunny France .. wonderful holiday .. didn't want to come back really ..
Some statistics for those with nowt else to read ...
Miles covered : 2330 ("clean" 571, "topbox & bars" 774, "topbox, bars, & tin tent" 985)
Fuel used : 439.24 litres LPG + 28.05 litres petrol, actual cost £351:05 in total
Computer readout of fuel consumption 106.9 galls (485.33 litres), estimated cost of petrol £636.75
Actual cost per mile 15.07 p Projected cost per mile if only petrol used 27.33 p
Saving £285:70 or 12.26 p/mile .... :) (savings are high due to large amount of towing in the equation)
Euro/£ 1.24, litres/galls 4.54
No major problems but a couple of little "I wonder why's" ....
On 2 occasions after a long drive and a very short stop (Pee break) in temperatures of 27 degrees, the car failed to switch to LPG, and could not be forced to do so, had to drive 40 odd miles each time on petrol. Once able to stop and the engine off for over 20 minutes it worked as expected... most strange ..but an extra 79 miles on petrol .. :(
We also had a recurrence of a tendency to overheat, but now know it to be in very particular circumstances, I'll start a thread on that in Omega Help, never actually overheated as I was watching it like a hawk, but 'tis a tad weird .....
Between us we took over 500 photos, but very few of the car... there just weren't the right settings ... but this is us "on site"

and this is us the night before leaving .. set up for an early start...

Most certainly, and there's loads to do in the area as well, but you do need a car unless you are a very keen cyclist ... 'tis a wee bit hilly .. and the site is 3 miles from the nearest supermarket.
Pitches vary in size as they have a fair amount of 1-2 nighters which they put at one end, those staying longer get the better pitches at the far end. All the pitches we saw had own tap/grey water disposal/electricity (UK Blue plug type). We had booked through Select Sites and once again got the VIP treatment that company always seems to get. They do take folks without reservations but I wouldn't risk it, they were turning folks away as fully booked after about 15:00 on most days
Sanitary blocks very clean and plenty of them, but shower water a tad cool at times. Restaurant/takeaway very good, Shop on site basic but sufficient, bread/croissant etc need to be ordered the day before. Bar/patio OK but tends to get a bit noisy and congested - we sat outside our van and enjoyed the peace with a few bevvies most nights ... must be getting old !! :) No Disco etc so nowt for teenagers :) so not many of them about :) "Littlies" well provided for - games area/kids club/ kids pool so a fair few "ankle snappers" about .. but they seemed to go to bed reasonably early (most of them) so the site was relatively quiet of an evening.
Staff extremely friendly and helpful, we got friendly with 2 Slovak girls - excellent English and both rather nice :) - to the extent they came down for drinks on their night off !!
If you need any more info just ask :)
