Title: Oil changed, after 2 hrs!
Post by: theolodian on 30 October 2006, 17:49:12
Plus 45 minutes driving back and forth to a place to do it.  20 minutes my shiny metal @$$!   :o  Didn't help that VX gave me the wrong filter and I had to go to the dealer in the middle.  Thankfully I was at Timbuk's so he could take me.  However, after seeing the state of the oil and the holes in the filter it might not have been so different to drive it without them . . .

One advantage of changing oil that is so dark is that when you put new in you can still easily see the level on the dipstick because the traces of old oil are so dark!

Without waiting for the oil to drain, usually about 15 mins on the V6 lump heh

I had never seen one before, so I didn't twig that it was the wrong one.

It was actually 2hrs 45 mins between getting there and leaving, so 3.5hrs total including travel, but I was taking out some of the coffee breaks  :P
