Title: Boot spoilers
Post by: flyer 0712 on 20 August 2012, 16:00:12
can anyone please tell me about boot spoiler for an omega face lift ....i have taken off a pro drive boot spoiler from a mv6 face lift boot and it looks a good fit for my face lift car....I also have a irmsher spoiler part number on it is...4001431    ...type v9402  kba 38422....which is a larger type spoiler..i am told that it fits a face lift omega but when i offer it up to the boot it appears to fit but needs pushing into place and i am afraid that glue will not hold it on there without a struggle...there are no bolt holes in it either to secure it with...so i would like to know for sure if the irmsher is meant for the face lift...i want to get the spoiler painted but dont want to pick the wrong on...thanks  :y

Was the Irmscher spoiler also from a facelift?

^^^^^ As He says, sounds like the Irmscher spoiler is from a preface lift.

Mine is the Pro-Drive spoiler but needed a little help and force to make it fit ...( i think it had warped slightly lying around for ages with something on top of it lol )
Anyway i used Sikaflex and lots of tape and eventually string etc to hold it for 24 hrs
Here's how i persuaded it to stick  ;D

I did a similar thing Proz. I also used Sika, but a used some small ratchet straps to hold the spoiler in place on the estate :y

Just to add to to the OP's question about the spoiler not fitting perfectly.
I removed one from an estate rear hatch & within a few days I was sticking in onto a new door, this one had to be held down on the ends until the mastic cured as it wasn't an exact fit.
