Title: Lazy drivers side seat belt...

... Basically the drivers side seatbelt recoil is lazy it doest go back into position like it should... is there any way or fixing this without replacing the whole thing ?  :-\

I would just live with it but its being a pain sometimes hits the door as closing etc :-\

You can remove the B pillar trim and make sure it`s not twisted. Don`t bother trying WD40 or the like on the roller mech. and whatever you do, don`t remove the covers shrouding the spring. If it`s that lazy I`ve got a black n/s belt assuming the fronts are the same

You will probably find that it is dragging due to the amout of grease and crap that has built up over the years.

Get yourself a can of paint thinners or carb / brake cleaner and use it and a nail brush / old towel to clean the belt fabric and remove as much grime as you can  :y

Should do the job  :y

My front drivers side belt is lumpy when you pull it out to engage it and sometimes jams and wont retract freely. Would the above remedy work on that as well? Only started to happen this week.
