Title: His and Hers cars. Opti Style
Post by: Field Marshal Dr. Opti on 22 August 2012, 11:40:53
Mowed the lawn yesterday, so I thought I'd take a couple of pictures while the sun was out. :y

It looks like My MV6 is after a sniff of the Mazda's bum. ;D ;D

Mrs Opti drives her Corsa on a day to day basis, so the RX-8 is only used for fun. I doubt she'll cover more than a couple of thousands miles each year in her new "girly" toy. That's women for you.  ;)

The first tank of petrol returned 21.9 mpg.......the second 20.7 mpg...... :'( :'(. It's needed no oil in 700 miles. The rear seats are big enough to take friends and grandchildren. :y

I really wanted to hate the Mazda because it is clearly a car ( like the MX-5) that's specifically designed to appeal to for gay men and girls, but I don't. In fact it's great fun to drive and handles like it's on rails.

It's made me get in touch with my feminine/metrosexual side. ::) ::) ::).......just this morning I've made an appointment for a "back, sack, and crack" wax to be ably performed by Crispin and his.....ahem  ::) ::) partner Horatio.

What's wrong with that?...... ::) ::) ::) ;)

Yep, Aaron. I'd like the jap crap removed, too. Give me scrap value and you can tow it away. ;D ;D ;D ;)

P.S. Talking of jap crap, how is that old Datsun of yours?

Rx looks quite a big manly car with bulging wheel arches an all  :o If its not used much on the road maybe you could tow a grass cutting machine on the back and cut the lawn in style  :-\ Nice to see the trimmed bush in the background  :-X  :y

The MV6 just about clears 30 mpg under identical conditions...... :-\. The RX-8 enjoys a drink, sadly. :'(

P.S. Talking of jap crap, how is that old Datsun of yours?

That got sold a fair while back now, to make room for the bits of Cobra kit in the garage :( Broke my heart to see it go, but it had a laundry list of problems to fix, really..

You've a Cobra replica.......do I have that right?

.........or perhaps you own a genuine 1965 427........formerly the property of one Carroll Shelby.  :o :o :o ;). If only :y

It's a replica  :y And it's not yet built, so right now it's really just a chassis, a body and a pile of recycled Jag parts ;)

The only way I'll own the real deal is winning the Euromillions, I reckon!

As I can identify with the natural inclination of these endearing little creatures to live in holes (a fine lifestyle choice), I'm afraid that I could never criticize them.

All the cars look good Opti and it’s nice to see a cut lawn – well done.

Crikey! In the garden?

Would they have made too much mess in the house? :o

In my humble opinion, the baby smooth bush is the one that gives the most visual and tactile pleasure. :)

I presume we're  still talking about the garden. :)

I prefer dense, straggly and meandering, myself. So much so that I got a letter from the council earlier in the year complaining about mine impinging on the highway. ::)
