Had my omega a few momths. Sometimes parked on quite a camber whilst visiting a friend. It is really hunting for gears with very little accelaration from stand still and on hill. Then after stopping for a while all is ok again, This has happened twice now. Any ideas please? before i go and get ripped off. Many thanks.

Standard reply to these type of probs is check fluid level

While you're there you might as well change it.
I did mine by sucking the old out with a tube and a bottle (it wont siphon) and putting in about 4 ltr of new.
If you know for sure it has been changed then it may be the filter

Had similar probs when the cam shaft sensor on my 2.2 was on the fritz
I had no orange light. but erratic gearbox selections and low mpg figure
This went on for about 6 weeks then she started refusing to start.
But when hooked up to an OBD2 scanner I got P0340 code for incorrect cam sensor signal
After I fitted a new cam sensor she`s been as good as gold.
As advised do the obvious checks first, is it nice and dry underneath?
Check around the bottom of the bell housing for damp and at the prop-shaft output for leaks. it could just be low gearbox oil.
