When I last lived in England I was a five minute drive to Cadeby light railway. Went many times , understandably it all went downhill after the Revs death. A mate at Thrapston had a single loop, two engine garden railway.
What a gem but not a patch on Bitter Creek Western. Not found anything similar here in Spain. The Industrial revolution arrived very late here or maybe not at all....... :o

Fantastic, I would love a go on some of those.......... :y :y :y

We have similar days at the heritage centre, its even been known for there to be 'duchess days' amongst others:

But if your going to play with trains, there is only one scale! 1:1 :y ;D
The model railway side consists of loads of gauges including ride on the lot.

Beats a Hornby 00 gauge that's for sure :)

Lovely stuff,a mate of mine many years ago built a loco from scratch, when finished had it taken somewhere with a track and fired it up to prove it worked, afterwards he stripped it down and painted it and made a display cabinet to put it in and to the best of my knowledge has not fired it up since, seems a waste to me :'(
